ST COSME COTES-DU-RHONE BLANC, 2008
I LOVE FRENCH WINE AND YOU SHOULD TOO.
THE SAINT COSME WINERY IS LOCATED NEAR GIGONDAS, IN THE SOUTHERN RHONE OF SOUTH FRANCE. IN FRANCE, WINES ARE LABELED BY WHERE THEY ARE FROM, NOT WHAT GRAPE VARIETAL IT IS MADE UP OF. THIS COTES-DU-RHONE IS ACTUALLY A BLEND OF FOUR DIFFERENT GRAPE VARIETALS - 30% VIOGNIER, 30% ROUSSANNE, 20% MARSANNE, 20% PICPOUL.
NOSE: FLORAL APPLE, ASIAN PEAR, GREEN MELON
PALATE: DRY AND CRISP WITH GOOD ACIDITY. RICH AND CREAMY WITH HONEYSUCKLE AND PEAR.
THE WARMER IT GETS OUTSIDE, THE MORE I WANT TO DRINK WINES LIKE THIS...
