Argyle Brut, Willamette 2006

Argyle makes some of my favorite domestic sparkling wines. They also make great Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in what has been a "hot" area for winemaking for this past decade, Oregon. We shared a bottle of Brut, with friends before dinner @ Bluestem restaurant on Friday night. The Brut is comprised of approximately 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes: Pale golden yellow in color with aromas of apple, maybe pear and yeast, mostly. Flavors of bright slightly-sweet apple, lemon zest and bread dough. Nice minerality and acidity.
